525,600 Minutes

My Birthday

525,600 minutes, 525,000 moments so dear.
525,600 minutes – how do you measure, measure a year?
In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee.
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife.
In 525,600 minutes – how do you measure a year in the life?

525,600 minutes! 525,000 journeys to plan.
525,600 minutes – how can you measure the life of a woman or man?
In truths that she learned, or in times that he cried.
In bridges he burned, or the way that she died.

How about love? Measure in love. Seasons of love.

-Excerpted from “Seasons of Love”

I was given another year, and my memory doesn’t allow me to remember everything that took place in it. The things that stay with me are the relationships built and friendships made. I wasn’t always so good at everything this last year, but I have good friends, and that makes for a good year. Thanks everyone. I look forward to this next year.

Most of those measures of year seem fairly arbitrary, I think I'd just stick with the minutes. Though seconds might be a bit better.

    [sings]31,500,000 seconds, 31,500,000 – a measure so clear.
    31,500,000 seconds. That's how you measure, measure a year[/sings]

    Happy Birthday!

    Mark,

Happy Birthday, to you too, triplet!
I hope you have another good year – because of Christ!

    (I am still considering the Facebook idea . . . I get reprimanded often . . . . maybe this summer . . . )

*sigh* He goes off on that tangent every time I listen to the soundtrack. It's such a great musical, but not one I considered MupSafe… have you seen it?

Also, YAY BIRTHDAY HAPPY! Your card is, uh… not in the mail. Sorry, I dropped the ball this year (again).

(Packing up box of Canadian birthday love) In case you're wondering, it tastes like Tim Horton's hot chocolate, with just a hint of moose. Dangit…no matter how many maple leaves I fish out of this stuff, I always find more…ah, to heck with it.
You'll just have to settle for being showered with virtual hugs and kisses. Hope your day was appropriately fabulous!
