Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks Review

Don’t think I don’t know that I haven’t written much this week. I’m well aware. Sorry. That’s just how this week goes.

Here, though, is my latest review. I’ll warn you – the game is violent and bloody.

I played this game last weekend with a couple friend, and I really didn't like it. Then again, I usually don't like this type of brawler, so maybe I'm just biased. There's something to the way these games play that I just can't grasp fully, I see other people doing these amazing things, crazy combos or environmental moved with precision, while it seems like I'm always struggling to do, well, anything at all. Anything that requires you to be in a specific spot, or to do several specific moves in a sequence, and I can't do it. I'm not a bad player usually, it's just these types of games.

Personally, for this game, I found the control scheme to be needlessly complicated, and the game itself to be overly simple. Also, some day game makers will realize that platform jumping in 3D games is a band thing, but this obviously isn't that day. I did like the fac tthat the two characters essentially shared one health bar though, it added a bit of a twist to cooperative play.

In any case though, a well written review as always!
